Last Letter to Last

Tick-Tuck Tick-Tuck; unusually slow

Perhaps tiny arms frozen under snow

Perhaps they’re renovating their ancient art

There in the heart of forest, lives a heart

Daggers of time left him lone with scars

And no more “The Countless” are only stars

Death angel early tonight has knocked his door

Saying soon his ship will leave the shore

The Angel left leaving a glimpse of light

Stealing darkness from the whole night

Few hours are left for peace to blast

Few yet enough to write a last letter to last

“Always Together” Painting by Vladimir Kush

“I’m leaving; leaving precious parts behind

The eyes I give to the blind

To those forbidden nature songs to hear,

I give a sound ear

To those of cold legs, I give warm feet

The hands to hard workers I was honored to meet

The memory to those suffering Alzheimer’s

Liver, kidneys and spine to cancer risers

The heart…excuse me; the precious can’t I give

I’ll just die with the scars as I live

Now burn the flesh; burn the trigger of lust

So from stars I’m born, and shall return to dust…

  1. How beautifully you can portray your humanness. The last word I would write — “Kind.”
It has a quality of showing life to others, though with scars you leave. It is just to be selfless, and you are that Mira. Divinely you do create words to breathe. Thank you. Blessings and love. 🙂

  2. beautiful, Mmm…

With parting comes purpose and a purity like none other
    A chance to start anew
What’s left behind is indeed precious and cannot be replaced
But what’s yet to come can renew

The hours you have spent building this empire
Will remain chiseled in the pages of time
So even when you have moved on
    Your name will still shine

    Best wishes and hugs
    Whichever path you choose…

  3. Another breathtakingly beautiful poem mira! How do you do it? Each line is an exotic beauty. I love this one particularly- “perhaps tiny arms frozen under snow”…great comparision.
Bitter-sweet description of the end of time and noble thoughts of a dying person.

  4. “Death angel early tonight has knocked his door
Saying soon his ship will leave the shore
The Angel left leaving a glimpse of light
Stealing darkness from the whole night”.

AMAZING lines. I am envious! Great work, my friend 🙂

  5. full of divine! a piece which surely the death angel will love to listen and like… the last memoirs ,the last wishes , a beautiful portrayal of an ideal soul reflects..

"Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought & the thought has found its words"; I know mine's make no sun shines, but....YOU can tell better!
